About the opportunity
Join ANRE AI as a Software Engineer and help build AI-powered products that serve students, startups, and businesses. You'll work alongside founders, designers, and machine learning engineers to ship production-ready features across our web platform and internal tooling. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy building fast, learning quickly, and taking ownership in a startup environment. This is a hybrid position and may require in-person collaboration at our San Francisco office for team meetings, planning sessions, and product development.
What you’ll do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and backend services.
- Build new product features from concept to deployment.
- Collaborate with designers and ML engineers to integrate AI capabilities into products.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
- Debug production issues and continuously improve application performance.
What we’re looking for
- Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience with React, Next.js, or similar frontend frameworks.
- Understanding of APIs, databases, and modern software development practices.
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with Python, Node.js, or Go.
- Experience with cloud platforms or serverless infrastructure.
- Experience working with PostgreSQL or Supabase.
- Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, or cloud deployment.
- Previous startup, research, or personal project experience.
