About the opportunity
As an AI / Machine Learning Engineering Intern, you'll contribute to AI research and production systems by building, evaluating, and improving machine learning models and LLM applications. You'll work closely with engineers and researchers while gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge AI technologies. This is a hybrid internship and may require in-person collaboration at our San Francisco office.
What you’ll do
- Assist in developing machine learning and LLM-powered applications.
- Build evaluation datasets and testing pipelines.
- Conduct experiments to improve model quality.
- Integrate AI models into production applications.
- Research emerging AI techniques and present findings to the team.
What we’re looking for
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, EECS, Statistics, or a related field.
- Experience programming in Python.
- Basic understanding of machine learning concepts.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Experience using OpenAI APIs or other LLM platforms.
- Personal AI, research, or hackathon projects.
- Familiarity with prompt engineering, RAG, or vector databases.
